Kenny Loggins' New Band To Play At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The Ridgefield Playhouse will welcome Kenny Loggins, Gary Burr, and Georgia Middleman on Sept. 23.

Loggins, the critically acclaimed singer, got together with Nashville songwriter Burr and country singer-songwriter Middleman to form the Blue Sky Riders as a new venture for the three musicians.

On the band's website Loggins said, “We wrote our first song and were singing with a three-part blend that comes once in a lifetime.”

Perhaps best known as a soft-rock singer, Loggins has said that he sees this new group as a way to branch out into different type of music.

Burr is a Country Music Hall of Famer and has written internationally known songs for Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson.

Singer-songwriter Middleman's career was jumpstarted in her teens by opening for performers such as Willie Nelson. From there she began writing songs that have been sung Keith Urban, Reba McEntire among others.

The band will be joined on stage by special guests, the teenage duo Carly & Eliza performing through guitar and voice.

For tickets, which are $50, call the box office at 203-438-5795. For more information on The Ridgefield Playhouse, visit its website.
