Allen won on the show's eighth season in 2009 and released his second album, “Thank You Camellia” in May 2012.
Allen's first album, “Kris Allen” was released in 2009 after his Idol win and debuted at number eleven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 200. “Live Like We’re Dying” was the big hit from this album and peaked at number eighteen in the U.S. with combined sales topping 1.7 million. New York City singer-song writer Jillette Johnson will join Allen on stage. Her song “Pauvre Coeur” is the first single off her debut album released in 2012.
