'I, Putin' Author Comes To Ridgefield At Bernard's

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Ridgefield restaurant Bernard’s is welcoming author Jennifer Ciotta as a part of its Author Luncheon Series to discuss her debut novel, “I, Putin,” on Sept. 13.

Ciotta has spent the past decade writing and researching her first-person novel of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During lunch, Ciotta will speak about her challenges and successes of writing "I, Putin" and why she was drawn to writing a book about Putin.

Since the novel’s release in April, it has received honorable mentions at the New York Book Festival, the Hollywood Book Festival and others.

“I am neither a supporter nor a critic of Vladimir Putin. But I do find him, his journey to power and his life fascinating,” Ciotta has said.

She has researched and studied the Russian president for more than 12 years. During that time she received a master’s degree in Russian studies from New York University and spent two years in Estonia with the Peace Corps.

The luncheon will begin at noon, and tickets are $25, which includes lunch from Bernard’s. Drinks are not included.

Books will be for sale by Books on the Common during the luncheon. For more information or to purchase a ticket contact Bernard’s by calling 203-438-8282.
