One of the programs funded is TeenTalk at Ridgefield High School. Headlining the promenade this year will be comedienne Christine OLeary, serving as master of ceremonies. Other highlights will include dinner, music, and dancing.
Kids in Crisis provides emergency shelter, crisis counseling, and community educational programs, 24 hours a day. The organization helps families with children of all ages to deal with major issues like domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, economic difficulties, and much more.
Since 1978, when Kids in Crisis was founded, 124,000 Connecticut children and families have been helped, including 6,000 just last year.
