Five-time Grammy Award nominee, and nouveau flamenco guitarist Liebert has released 25 albums and received 38 Gold and Platinum distinctions in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. His debut album "La Semana" has become one of the best-selling guitar albums of all time.
Liebert has become one of the most successful instrumental artists of the past decade, thrilling sold-out audiences throughout the world. His current releases include "Scent of Light" and "Up Close," representing Brazilian and Peruvian rhythms. This event is part of the Doyle Coffin Architecture Singer/Songwriter Series.
In 2009, Liebert received the Silver award for Best Flamenco Guitarist from Acoustic Guitar Magazine. With the bass, keyboards, drum and percussion of his band Luna Negra, Liebert produces a lush blend of provocative sounds of fiery flamenco with texture derived from ambient electronics, bass and electric guitar.
