McGuinn will be playing classic hits, like “Eight Miles High,” "Mr. Tambourine Man,” and “Turn, Turn, Turn,” as well as sharing the stories behind the songs. This event is part of the xfinity Rock Series, with media sponsor i95fm The Home of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
McGuinn not only lived history, he made history with his fearless sense of experimentation. As the leader of the influential 1960s group The Byrds, he combined the rock beat of the Beatles with the folk sensibilities of Bob Dylan to help create the genre known as “folk-rock.”
His solo career began in 1973 and has yielded 10 albums, a Grammy nomination, and extensive touring and performing.
