America Takes The Stage On Night Of Ridgefield Playhouse's Raffle Drawing

RIDGEFIELD, CONN. -- The band America, which is making its 40th anniversary tour, will stop at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday.

The band had a string of hits in the early and mid-1970s, including "A Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “I Need You,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” and “Sister Golden Hair.”

Opening for America is special guest Chris Berardo and The DesBerados Acoustic Trio Show.

This event will be the last chance to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a Mercedes for a year from Mercedes-Benz of Danbury. The drawing, which will take place from the stage that night, is for a year’s use of a new black 2014 E-350 Mercedes sedan with black leather interior, a black soft top, Premium 1 package, Sport Package AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels, heated front seats and other accouterments. 

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $87.50. Call the box office at 203-438-5795 or order online. Before and after the show, The Bayou North at 109 Danbury Road will pour a free cocktail when ticket/stub is presented until 11 p.m.

The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
