The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce recently announced Destination Ridgfield.com as a platform to promote everything that goes on in the town for both tourists and residents. Since launching in June, the site has attracted thousands of visitors, chamber of commerce officials said on the site. To introduce residents and tourists to the new site, the chamber is inviting people to come out to sessions scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 30 and 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Prospector Pop-Up Shop at 454 Main St.

“Everyone knows Ridgefield is a beautiful New England town with lots to do,” said Marion Roth, executive director of the Ridgefield chamber, previously. “Destination Ridgefield.com makes it easy for people to find out the what, where and when.”

The site doesn't contain only listings, but also descriptions and details about the arts, shopping, dining, museums and galleries, parks, events and activities, as well as going into the history of the town, according to a previous story.

The site is designed to appeal to “in-town tourists” as well, said Nancy O’Connell, owner of nancy O and the chamber's chairperson, previously. "It’s even hard for locals to be aware of all this amazing town has to offer. DestinationRidgefield.com is the one-stop shop for answering the question, ‘What should we do today?’”

Those interested in learning more about the site are asked to go to destinationridgefield.com or see the group's latest flyer.
