The ribbon cutting, set for 5 p.m. at the shop's 424 Main St. location, is introducing its new Greek yogurt bar, soup and chopped salad, according to a notice from the company. General Manager Barbara Bouton will join Swizzles staff and the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the new additions to the menu.

Swizzles recently renovated its Main Street shop and expanded its fro-yo menu to include Greek yogurt, chopped salad and fresh soups.

“We wanted to bring a healthy, convenient and economical lunch option to Main Street,” said Adam Kessner, owner of Swizzles. “We’ve enhanced the shop and the menu, but we’re keeping our commitment to providing healthy and fresh foods in a fun atmosphere.”

The new salad bar will offer eight varieties of salads, including Greek, Cobb, Caesar, Baja and Citrus, as well as a Signature Swizzles salad and a “make your own” option. Fresh soups will be available each day. And the new Greek yogurt bar features a variety of toppings, including fresh fruits, nuts and granola.

There is also a Kid’s Meal, featuring a small salad, soup and drink. “Studies show that kids are eating less than one serving of fruits and veggies each day,” said Swizzles General Manager Barbara Bouton. “Our soups and salads make it easy and fun for kids to get the veggies and fruit they need."

Of course, the natural, fat-free or low-fat self-serve frozen yogurt is still available, with all the favorite toppings, along with Dana’s Macarons, a gluten-free popular pastry.

“Ridgefield is a wonderful town, and we’re proud to be here on Main Street,” said Kessner. “We’re looking forward to serving visitors and residents of all ages a nutritious, fresh and affordable meal.”
