Microsoft Store To Open in Danbury Fair Mall

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — A Microsoft store is set to open in the Danbury Fair Mall on June 23, one of three that is heading to the New York-New England region, according to Microsoft's Facebook page.

The first 200 people who visit the store during its grand opening at 10 a.m. will receive two wristbands to an exclusive O.A.R and Young the Giant performances at 6:30 p.m. One lucky wristband holder will gain access to a O.A.R meet-and-greet after the show.

The next 800-plus people in line will also receive two premier-viewing wristbands to the same concert, according to Microsoft's Facebook page.

Microsoft is planning to open retail stores in White Plains, N.Y., and Boston in addition to Danbury. The new store will be located on the second floor next to Cotton On.

In honor of the grand opening, Microsoft will be donating $1 million worth of software to the local chapter of Junior Achievement, an organization "dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy," according to their website.
