RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Westchester restaurateur Arber Muriqi is bringing his 25 years-plus experience to Ridgefield with the opening of The Barn Door .
The eatery, which has taken over the space formerly housed by La Piazza, is set to open Wednesday, May 10.
According to Muriqi, it will feature American cuisine with a nod to Mediterranean flavors. On the menu: an extensive raw bar, a variety of salads, burgers, pizza and entrees like wood-grilled kebab, paella, organic roasted chicken and seafood risotto.
A Happy Hour Bar Snacks menu lists all items -- think meatball & polenta, fried calamari, eggplant stack and truffle fries -- for $5. There will also be plenty of innovative cocktails, a full wine list, and craft beers, as well as a kid's menu.
