'Gather, Eat, Drink' Is Motto At The New Barn Door In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Westchester restaurateur Arber Muriqi is bringing his 25 years-plus experience to Ridgefield with the opening of The Barn Door.

The eatery, which has taken over the space formerly housed by La Piazza, is set to open Wednesday, May 10.

According to Muriqi, it will feature American cuisine with a nod to Mediterranean flavors. On the menu: an extensive raw bar, a variety of salads, burgers, pizza and entrees like wood-grilled kebab, paella, organic roasted chicken and seafood risotto.

A Happy Hour Bar Snacks menu lists all items -- think meatball & polenta, fried calamari, eggplant stack and truffle fries -- for $5. There will also be plenty of innovative cocktails, a full wine list, and craft beers, as well as a kid's menu.
