On Wednesday, Nov. 18, Superintendent Cheryl Clarke said 26 new COVID-19 cases had been reported in Monson since November and this is cause for concern within the school district.

Students did not go to in-school classes on Thursday, Nov. 19. A tentative return to in-person classes is slated for Dec. 7.

In a community notice on Monson’s town Facebook page, government officials warned of “rough days” ahead.

Noting Monson has experienced 109 COVID-19 incidents since January, officials said:

“Please mask up, distance, and stay home when possible. We are headed for rough days. Let’s get through this together.”
