Brookfield Resident Faces DUI Charge In NY
With law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continuing their crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among two dozen motorists who found themselves charged with DWI offenses in the area this past week. Local residents charged were: Westchester County On Friday, Sept. 7, State Police from Brewster arrested Michele Drella, 53, of Mount Kisco, for DWI. Four Fairfield County Residents Under Influence In NY Stops
Dozens of area residents were nabbed for driving while intoxicated by state police during the three-day Labor Day weekend. They include: Westchester Adam J. Heyd, 37, of Somers. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Putnam Valley when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Michele A. Ridlon, 47, of Dobbs Ferry. Memorial services have been scheduled for the couple killed in a murder-suicide last week at the Westchester Medical Center. The two -- Richard DeLucia, 71, and his wife, Ann Macken DeLucia, 70 -- were residents of Yorktown. Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue in Thornwood on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for visitation. Northern Westchester Couple ID'd In Medical Center Murder-Suicide
The two people who died in a murder-suicide incident at Westchester Medical Center on Wednesday morning have been identified as a married couple from Yorktown. They are Richard DeLucia, 71, and his wife, Ann DeLucia, 70, who was a patient at the hospital, according to Kieran O'Leary, public information officer for the Westchester County Police Department. Richard DeLucia shot his wife in her hospital room and then shot himself, O'Leary said. Each died of a single gunshot wound. Multiple Black Bear Sightings Reported In Westchester
Multiple sightings of a black bear were reported Saturday in Northern Westchester near the Putnam border. The Yorktown Police Department received the reports of a black bear along the Route 202 (Crompond Road) corridor near BJ's, Lexington Avenue, Sylvan Glen Park Preserve, the Yorktown Paw Park and Stony Street.
