A Connecticut woman who collided with an oncoming car while driving the wrong way on a New Haven County highway, sending a father and child to the hospital, was intoxicated at the time of the crash, authorities said.
New Haven County resident Andrea Lynn Marseglia, age 39, of Orange, faces multiple charges including operating under the influence, reckless endangerment, driving the wrong way, and endangering a child, Connecticut police said.

One Killed In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash
A man died after he drove his car the wrong way and slammed into an oncoming car on a busy Connecticut roadway, state police said.
It happened on a stretch of I-84 in Hartford County at around 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in Plainville.
Hartford County resident Walter Turner, age 43, of Berlin, died after his 2006 Ford Focus hit a 2021 Toyota Rav4 LE driven by New Haven County resident Vanessa Gonzalez, age 27, of Waterbury, which was traveling westbound head-on, according to Connecticut State Police.
Turner was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims of a triple-fatal wrong-way crash on Route 91 have been identified by Massachusetts State Police.
The victims of the crash which took place in Hampden County have been identified as Judith Keating, age 65, and Michelle Swaller, age 65, both of Milford, Connecticut, and Wallace Sherman Jr. of Gloversville of Fulton County in upstate New York, state police said.
The crash took place around 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 22, when a Subaru with only the driver inside was traveling the wrong way on I-91 in Holyoke hit another vehicle head-on, state police said.

Woman Drove Wrong Way On I-84, CT State Police Say
A 36-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving in the wrong direction on I-84.
Vanessa Alejos, of Newington, was arrested around 11:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in Hartford County, by Connecticut State Police for driving the wrong way on I- 84 in East Hartford, state police said.
Troopers were alerted to the wrong-way driver by callers and were able to track down and pull over Alejos near Exit 56, they said.
Alejos was charged with four counts of construction zone violations, failing to comply with fingerprinting and interfering with an officer, state police said.

A 44-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after allegedly hitting two vehicles, including a State Police cruiser while driving the wrong way on Route 15 South.
