A man who led Connecticut authorities on a high-speed chase in a stolen car was easily captured hours later when he showed up at a police station to bail out his alleged accomplice, officials said.
Elijah Holloman, age 21, and Dominique Adrian Reid, age 26, both of Bridgeport, face several felonies following a chase on Thursday, Oct. 3, Fairfield Police said.
Their troubles began around 9:30 a.m. when they crashed a stolen Mazda into a Wilton Police car, authorities said. They sped away from the scene on the Merritt Parkway, sparking a high-speed chase.

Speeding, Weaving Motorist From Norwalk Nabbed For DUI In Wilton, Police Say
A Fairfield County man driving a 2024 Lexus NX 350 was nabbed for alleged DUI and other charges after he was spotted by police speeding and weaving.
John Tacconi, age 66, of Norwalk, was charged in Wilton on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on Danbury Road.
According to Wilton Police Deputy Chief Robert Cipolla, an officer clocked Tacconi traveling at 60 mph in a 40 mph zone on Danbury Road and weaving in and out of the double yellow line.
Tacconi admitted to the officer he had consumed alcohol before driving, and he had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech, Cipolla said.

A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged DWI/drugs after ignoring an officer's signal to stop and driving into a construction zone.
The incident occurred in New Canaan at around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at a construction site on Silvermine Road.
According to Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police, an officer conducting traffic control at a construction site signaled John Anderson, age 46, of Wilton, to stop his SUV as he approached the zone.

Drunk Driver Crashes U-Haul Into Car In Wilton, Police Say
A Long Island man driving a U-Haul truck was charged with alleged DUI in Fairfield County after he passed another vehicle and struck it.
The incident occurred in the town of Wilton on Wednesday, July 31, on Danbury Road (Route 7).
According to Lt. Anna Tornello of the Wilton Police, Steve Otterbeck, age 58, of Huntington Station, was traveling south on Ridgefield Road in a U-Haul truck when he passed another car and struck it.
After stopping the truck, officers thought Otterbeck's actions "were not normal," and in Plainview were several alcohol containers, Tornello said.

Man Cashes Thousands In Checks Stolen From Mailboxes In Wilton, Police Say
A 35-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly stealing checks from Fairfield County mailboxes and changing the amount before cashing them.
New York City resident Boris Vivies, age 35, of the Bronx, was arrested on Tuesday, May 7, for the incident in Wilton in September 2022.
According to Lt. Anna Tornello of the Wilton Police, officers received complaints that checks had been stolen from mailboxes, altered, and then cashed for $4,000.
An extensive investigation found that Vivies was responsible for thefts, and an arrest warrant was issued.
