A Fairfield County woman has been charged with alleged larceny after cashing a lost MoneyGram while using her name and address.
Valentina Dimitia-Coatanroch, age 51, of Stratford, was arrested by Westport Police on Sunday, Jan. 21.
According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, on Friday, March 6, 2020, Westport Police initiated a larceny investigation after a resident reported they had lost a MoneyGram they had purchased in the amount of $550.00.

A man was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly vandalized several vehicles at a train station in Fairfield County.
Gaspard Nicolas, age 31, was arrested in Westport on Wednesday, July 5, after police responded to a report of a man attempting to enter cars and vandalizing others at the Saugatuck Train Station, said Lt. Eric Woods, of the Westport Police.

DUI Crash: 34-Year-Old Westport Woman Hits Guardrail, Fence, Police Say
A local woman was charged with DUI after allegedly driving into a guardrail and then hitting a fence in Fairfield County.
Charlotte Singer, age 34, of Westport, was arrested on Sunday, July 2 around 8:45 p.m. in Westport.
According to Lt. Eric Woods, of the Westport Police, officers responded to the area of Kings Highway North and Canal Park for a one-car crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a car that crashed into a guardrail and fence near Canal Park, Woods said. A witness remained on the scene and provided the officer with details of the crash.

Man Cut Out Of Car After Flying Object Causes Crash On I-95 In Westport
A man had to be cut out of his vehicle by firefighters after crashing on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut when his vehicle was hit by an unknown flying object.
The crash took place in Westport on I-95 between exits 16 and 17 around 3:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 19.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by Rafael Pacheco, age 51, of the Bronx, was traveling southbound on I-95, in the left lane, in Westport, when all of a sudden an unknown object struck the windshield, dismantling the roof.
