A Good Dog Rescue's Lisa Smith Is A Dog's Best Friend
Lisa Smith knows dogs. The Ossining resident has fostered dogs for the past eight years, working with eight major rescue organizations in the area. She is co-owner of Canine Kindergarten, a doggie daycare started over 15 years ago in Verplanck and now with two additional locations in Mount Kisco and Yorktown. And, as of October of last year, Smith is the founder of A Good Dog Rescue. Deer Attack: Parking Enforcement Officer Injured By Buck
A Northern Westchester parking enforcement officer has been hospitalized after being attacked by a deer on her property located on the Montrose/Verplanck border. According to Michael Preziosi, director of the town’s Department of Technical Services, the unidentified employee in Cortlandt was attacked at her private residence. He said the town wishes her a speedy recovery. The woman, who was attacked early last week, reportedly suffered numerous injuries, including a punctured lung and broken pelvis during the attack by the buck.
