Police Investigating Numerous Reports Of Entered, Stolen Luxury Vehicles In Darien
Darien police are reporting that two vehicles were stolen, including one from a dealership, and four vehicles were burglarized since early this month.
The first vehicle was stolen from BMW of Darien on Monday, Dec. 7, after a customer had dropped off their 2019 BMW X5 for service, leaving the keys inside. When the dealership went to retrieve the vehicle, it was missing, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri.
Surveillance shows an unknown person enters the vehicle and drive away.

Four High-End Vehicles Stolen From Driveways In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County police department is reporting that four vehicles have been stolen out of driveways over the past four days.
The thefts took place between Thursday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 9, in New Canaan, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
According to Krolikowski, around 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, officers responded to Clapboard Hill Road to investigate a report of two motor vehicles missing from the resident's driveway.

Nearly 200 Cars Stolen Over The Weekend In Connecticut, Sept. 12-13
Nearly 200 motor vehicles were stolen in Connecticut over the weekend.
From, Saturday to Sunday, Sept. 12-13, 179 cars were stolen in Connecticut, according to Hartford Police.
Of the stolen cars 68 percent - 122 vehicles - were stolen with the key fobs left inside the cars, police said.
“This is what is happening while you sleep,” Hartford Police said. “Lock your cars. Take your fobs.”
The thefts are mostly crimes of opportunity. This weekend, Hartford Police said a 15 and 16-year-olds were arrested in a car stolen from Enfield.
