Truck Slams Into Train Overpass In Fairfield County For the second time this summer, a tractor-trailer has hit the top of a railroad overpass in Fairfield County. The latest incident took place around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwich at the Steamboat Road railroad overpass, said Greenwich Police. The truck's roof was torn off but managed to make it out from under the bridge.  The same overpass was hit on June 29 when another truck almost tore its roof off passing under the bridge. Truck Driver Treated At Danbury Hospital After Rollover Crash In Mahopac The driver of a dump truck was hospitalized after a rollover crash that brought down a pole and power lines in Mahopac on Wednesday. The still-energized 13,000-volt wires above the wreck on Long Pond Road near Pleasant Road prevented first-responders from approaching or removing the loan driver from the truck, said Tom Beatty of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Identified This story has been updated. A Valhalla teen has been identified as the young man struck and killed by a Metro-North train in Valhalla just north of Commerce Street, according to the MTA. Aaron Dannenbring, 19, was on the tracks around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by the northbound train, said MTA Spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman. The incident was not an accident, and no criminality was involved, she added. There were about 200 passengers on the train at the time, no one was injured.
