Traffic Alert: Cribari Bridge In Westport Work Scheduled A busy Fairfield County bridge that carries Route 136 over the Saugatuck River will be closed intermittently for repairs. Westport Police said state Department of Transportation officials will be working on the William Cribari Bridge between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday, June 16 for repairs, said Lt. Eric Woods of Westport Police. The crash took place around 4:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6 in Fairfield between Exits 19 and 20, said the Fairfield Fire Department. The state Department of Transportation said the highway was congested for miles following the crash which dumped a bundled section of one-ton metal pipe onto the roadway.
