4 Killed In Head-On Crash On CT Roadway Four people were killed in a head-on crash on a Connecticut roadway overnight. The incident happened around 11 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Waterbury on Thomaston Avenue when a car traveling south slammed into a northbound vehicle, causing both vehicles to burst into flames, according to authorities. According to Chief Fernando Spagnolo of the Waterbury Police Department, an investigation determined both vehicles were speeding. CT Man Under Influence Flees Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash while driving under the influence. The incident took place around 10:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 in Waterbury. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 8 northbound, south of Exit #36, in the City of Waterbury.  One of the vehicles involved in the collision had allegedly fled the scene of the crash, state police said. Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy CT Roadway, Police Say A man was killed after being hit by a Toyota Avalon along a busy Connecticut roadway. The incident took place around 12:15 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, in New Haven County in the area of Thomaston Avenue, in Waterbury.
