Police Investigating After Man's Body Found In Connecticut River Police launched an investigation after a man’s body was found by a boater in the Connecticut River in Western Mass. The discovery in Hampshire County happened around 6 p.m., Friday, May 21, in the river in Northampton, said Laurie Loisel, director of Communications for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. The boater summoned emergency help when he discovered the body and then stayed with the body to help the police find it, Loisel said. Fairfield County Man Dies In Ski Accident At Vermont Resort A Fairfield County resident who died in a skiing accident in Vermont has been identified by police. Arthur Powers, age 60, from Westport, was found dead around 2:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, when Stowe EMS responded to the Stowe Mountain Resort for a skier who was injured after hitting a tree, said Chief Donald B. Probe Launched Into Death Of Danbury Man, 29, Stuck In Conveyer Belt At Area Factory Officials have launched an investigation following the death of a Danbury man who became stuck in a conveyer belt at an area block factory. Daniel Kendrick, 29, was killed about 5:55 p.m., Friday, June 7, after being trapped in a conveyor belt system at New Milford Block and Supply Corporation at 574 Danbury Road, said New Milford Police Lt. Lawrence Ash. The accident remains under investigation by the New Milford Police Department, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
