State Police Searching For CT Bank Robber, Asking Motorists To Avoid Area State Police are asking the public to avoid certain roadways in the area as they search for an alleged bank robber. The robbery took place in Litchfield County around 12:35 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2, at the Salisbury Bank located at 5 Gay St., in Sharon, state police said. The suspect, who is believed to be a white male, wearing blue jeans and a blue sweater, fled the scene on foot.  Police are asking motorists to avoid the area between Route 41, Route 4, and Hill Top Road as troopers search for the suspect.  This is a developing story. Police Searching For Man Who Jumped From Bridge Into Connecticut River State Police report that a man got out of his vehicle while on a bridge and jumped into the Connecticut River. According to the Windsor Locks Police Department, the man exited the vehicle on Sunday, Jan. 24, around 1 p.m., while on Dexter Coffin Bridge and jumped into the river.  The police department responded as did fire and other agencies to search for the victim.  As of Monday, Jan. 24, a body has not been recovered.  The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

Bethel Man Accused Of Masturbating In Public Parking Lot A 23-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested for masturbating in a public parking lot in Putnam County, police said.  On Thursday, Dec. 10, State Police at the Brewster barracks said they responded to reports of a man masturbating in a public parking lot on Route 22 in the town of Southeast at approximately 7:15 p.m. Maxwell D. Cleary of Bethel was charged with the misdemeanor of public lewdness.  Cleary will appear in the town of Southeast Court in December to answer his charges.
