Police Ramp Up Drunk Boater Enforcement Patrols Officers are on heightened enforcement patrols to remove drunk boaters during Operation Dry Water as part of a nationally coordinated effort to increase knowledge about the dangers of Boating Under the Influence (BUI).  The goal is to reduce the number of accidents and deaths associated with alcohol and drug use on area waterways.  If you see or suspect illegal boating activity or suspect an intoxicated operator, you can call the State EnCon Police Emergency Dispatch Center at 860-424-3333 or toll free at 800-842-4357.  Patrol vessels also will be monitoring Marine VHF Radio Channel 16.
