A police department in Fairfield County is conducting an "active administrative investigation into all actions by the officers" involved in the arrest of a man that circulated on social media.
Bridgeport Police said the Sunday, May 2, arrest of Kevin Thomas, age 34, of Bridgeport, is under review after a video surfaced of the arrest in which police had to pepper spray Thomas in order to get him in the police cruiser.

A 21-year-old Connecticut woman was apprehended after allegedly taking New York State Police troopers on a pursuit that began when she refused to stop for a traffic violation, authorities said.
Emily Mackinnon-Dunbar, of Waterbury, was arrested on Thursday, March 25, after state police attempted to stop her vehicle on I-95 in the village of Mamaroneck for a traffic violation, said Trooper Tara McCormick.

Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Using False Name, Other Traffic Violations, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly providing a false name when he was pulled over for a traffic violation and for resisting arrest.
Thomas Willoughby, age 54, of Norwalk, was arrested on Monday, March 29, by New Canaan Police on a warrant for the incident which took place in September, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro of the New Canaan Police.
According to Ferraro, during the September stop, Willoughby allegedly provided officers with a false name, was driving with expired registration, did not have a driver's license, and was driving without insurance.

Fairfield Man Nabbed With Loaded Magazine, Drugs After Fleeing Traffic Stop, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly running from police during a motor vehicle stop and for having a loaded firearm magazine.
The incident took place around 2:24 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, when Bridgeport Police attempted a vehicle stop of Christopher Serrano, of Bridgeport, for not having a registration, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
After getting out of the vehicle, Serrano allegedly began to run away from officers while clutching his waistband. During the brief foot pursuit, two objects fell from his pants, Appleby said.

A man wearing a black ski mask, gloves and carrying a backpack was nabbed for allegedly attempting to rip off tires and rims at a Westport car dealership.
Robert Mebane, Jr., 28, of Stratford, was arrested around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16, after Westport Police received a call from an alarm monitoring service for Honda of Westport, that a suspicious person could be seen on the surveillance video camera footage of the business, said Westport Police Lt. Man Caught With 'Fishing' Tool During Stop, Greenwich Police Say
A 29-year-old man was allegedly nabbed with a device that is used to “fish” checks, gift cards or packages out of large mailboxes.
Marlon Brown, 29, of Queens, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 29, after Greenwich Police responded to the Cos Cob train station on a report of a suspicious vehicle possibly involved in drug activity, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Brown who gave officers two fake names before his real identity was discovered by taking his fingerprints, Slusarz said.

Two Women From Fairfield County Flee Salon In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say
Two area women are behind bars after attempting to flee a salon in a stolen vehicle after their credit card was denied.
Chyna Blair, 20, of Stamford, and Dominique Mariah Jackson, 22, of Shelton, were arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 29, after police discovered they were allegedly driving a stolen vehicle, said Greenwich Police Lt John Slusarz.
The incident began when they were attempting to pay for salon services and their credit card was denied. The women then allegedly attempted to leave, but employees held them until police could arrive, said Slusarz.
