WestConn Goes Into Lockdown After Report Of Man With Gun A report of a man walking onto the campus of Western Connecticut State University with a long gun led to a complete lockdown and shelter in place as a mass of police converged on the college campus.  The incident took place around noon on Monday when a student at the White Hall complex in Midtown reported the sighting, said Sherri Hill, associate director of public relations.
