Bridgeport Police say shots were fired at building 14 of PT Barnum Apartments on Anthony Street on Monday, July 1 around 2:35 a.m. Witnesses say several people were inside the building when an unknown male opened the door and fired into the living room from outside, according to police. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m. Sunday behind the PT Barnum Apartments in Bridgeport at 225 Anthony St., Building 15, confirmed Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. ID Released For Victim In Fatal Fairfield County Shooting This story has been updated. A 44-year-old man shot and killed at the PT Barnum Apartments has been identified by Bridgeport Police. The man who suffered the gunshot wound to the head around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of 467 Bird St., was Tavon Cooper, police said. Copper was transported by medics to Bridgeport Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Cooper is reportedly the cousin of the 18-year-old Corbin Cooper, who was recently killed in a car crash following a chase with Bridgeport Police, News 12 reported.
