Swerving Driver Accused Of Driving Under Influence In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man was arrested for alleged DUI after he was seen swerving into oncoming traffic and almost hitting a guardrail. Miguel Lopez, 34, of Stamford was arrested on Friday, Nov. 13, by Darien Police after officers were dispatched to Hecker Avenue on a report of an erratic driver, said Sgt. James Palmieri. According to Palmieri, officers were dispatched after the vehicle, described as a silver BMW, was seen swerving into oncoming traffic on Hecker Avenue and had almost hit a guardrail. Crashes Causes Gridlock On Both I-95, Merritt During Evening Commute
This story has been updated. There was gridlock on stretches of both I-95 and the Merritt during the Tuesday evening commute following crashes that blocked lanes. Two Arrested After Spotted Running From Closed Greenwich Gas Station
Two men are behind bars after an alert police officer on patrol noticed them running from a closed gas station to a car parked on the side of the road. Tyquan Catala, 28, and Sheldon Todd, 28, both of the Bronx, were arrested around 3:30 a.m. Monday after the officer noticed the car parked near the closed Shell gas station on Post Road and then saw the two men running toward the vehicle, said Lt.
