A Fairfield County man is behind bars for alleged DUI after he was spotted by police swerving between lanes and running red lights.
David Rappaport, age 58, of Westport, was charged on Friday, July 26, around 12:15 a.m. on Post Road East in Westport.
According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, an officer in the area was approached by two people who witnessed the erratic driving in Fairfield and alerted the officer.

Man Charged With Robbery Of Westport CVS, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was charged with robbery and larceny after police said he stole merchandise from a CVS Pharmacy.
Shaun Costello, 38, of Bridgeport, was arrested on a warrant on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for the alleged robbery and larceny that took place around 6 a.m., Sept. 13, at the CVS Pharmacy on Post Road East in Westport, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso.
According to police, when officers arrived on the scene, staff told officers a man and a woman entered the store and began filling reusable shopping bags with the merchandise.

A 34-year-old Fairfield County woman was arrested on a warrant for credit card theft and larceny after allegedly stealing a co-worker's debit card information two years ago.
Williemaie Reed, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Westport Police on Tuesday, June 30, for the incident which took place on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso.

A restaurant owner was arrested after allegedly failing to warn customers or staff of a kitchen fire that he was attempting to put out himself.
The fire took place around 6:50 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 29, in Westport at the Little Kitchen, at 423 Post Road East, said police.
When Westport firefighters responded to the fire after being waved down by a passing motorist that flames were coming from the roof of the restaurant, Westport Police said.

Westport Police extradited a Massachusetts woman back to Connecticut after she was allegedly identified as one of three people wanted for stealing a wallet and attempting to use the credit cards inside, police said.
