Pier 1 Imports Closing All Stores, Going Out Of Business
Pier 1 imports is going out of business and closing all stores including e-commerce operations, the company said in a statement. The company announced plans to run liquidation sales through the end of October once stores can reopen in compliance with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, officials said in a statement. Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Permanently Closing Stores Nationwide
Victoria’s Secret will permanently close about 250 stores in the United States and Canada this year, parent company L Brands announced. Ohio-based L Brands did not detail the closure locations, but there are 1,635 stores nationwide. L Brands also announced that 51 Bath & Body Works stores in the U.S. and Canada will close this year. CT Location Among 28 Macy's Store Closures Announced
A Macy’s location in Connecticut is among more than two dozen being closed down nationwide, continuing the trend of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers shutting their doors. Just after Pier 1 announced plans to close nearly half its stores, Macy’s said that it will be closing at least 28 stores in the coming months, including the location in Meriden at the Westfield Meriden Mall.
