Traffic Signal Worker Thrown From Bucket In Stamford
An electrician working to help replace all of the traffic lights along Greenwich Avenue was left dangling in the air after being hit by a concrete truck, according to Stamford Police. The 27-year-old Bristol resident was working on a traffic signal from the bucket of his truck when the incident occurred Tuesday morning, said Sgt. Andrew Gallagher. The worker, who was warning a safety harness attached to the safety bucket, was about 20 feet above the ground when the concrete truck driver misread directions from a police officer directing traffic and turned into the wrong, hitting the bucket …
