Acrobat Seriously Injured After Falling 25-30 Feet At Fairfield County Festival An acrobat who fell about 30 feet from a performance apparatus at a Fairfield County festival is expected to recover. The incident took place around 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Norwalk Oyster Festival Saturday when one of the performers, Walter Murcia, with the Pirates Of the Colombian Caribbean acrobatic show fell about 25 to 30 feet from an apparatus. Expect Traffic Delays, Road Closures During Annual Norwalk Oyster Festival As thousands make plans to attend the annual Norwalk Oyster Festival, police are reminding festivalgoers to expect traffic delays. The festival, which runs from Friday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Veteran's Memorial Park on Seaview Avenue is expected to tie up traffic at several different points, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake. Blake said motorists should expect delays in lower East Norwalk as well as South Norwalk due to festival traffic.
