A Connecticut woman has been charged with alleged threatening and harassment after writing messages on the doors of a Fairfield County business and sending numerous text messages.
The incident occurred in Greenwich overnight between Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7, on Sound Beach Avenue.

Red Lobster plans to close more restaurants just weeks after it filed for bankruptcy, according to a new report.
In a bankruptcy petition filed on Sunday, May 19, the company listed assets of $1 billion and liabilities of $10 billion.

CT Man Admits Committing 37 Robberies Across State
A Connecticut man has admitted to committing at least 37 violent robberies across the state in 2022.
Hartford County resident Lonny Cross, age 45, of Bristol, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, May 21, for the crimes that ranged from Hartford to Fairfield County and one in New York in September and October 2022, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Men Steal $6K In Merchandise From CT Dick's Sporting Goods, Police Say
A 19-year-old man was nabbed with more than $6,000 in stolen merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods, while his two accomplices managed to get away, police said.
The incident occurred in New Haven County in Milford on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the Dick's Sporting Goods store on Boston Post Road.
According to Milford Police, officers responded to the store after receiving a shoplifting complaint.

Westport Police are investigating a crash that killed a popular chef from Norwalk who was standing in front of the restaurant when he was hit.
The crash took place in Westport around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4, in front of The Whelk, a well-known seafood restaurant, located at 575 Riverside Ave.
According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police, Matthew Balga, age 54, of Norwalk, died shortly after being hit by a vehicle and transported to Norwalk Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Connecticut State Police have released the identities of two people killed in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash took place in New Haven County on I-91 in North Haven around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 near Exit 12.
Police said a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on I-91 when it passed the off-ramp and ran off the road to the right.
The car then traveled down an embankment and collided with a tree, causing the car to catch on fire, state police said.

Woman Also Struck In Crash That Killed Off-Duty Firefighter, CT State Police Now Say
Connecticut State Police say a woman was also struck in a five-vehicle crash that killed a popular off-duty firefighter.
New Haven Firefighter Thomas Mieles, age 27, was driving north on I-91 when his car became disabled in the left lane around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
