Alligator Spotted At River In Region A person spotted a strange creature in the waters of a river in the region -- an alligator. The Western Massachusetts fisherman spotted the alligator and caught it on video in West Springfield on Monday, Dec. 6, while fishing in the Westerfield River, according to 22 News WWLP. The non-profit organization West Springfield Environmental Committee, said on Facebook it has been receiving reports of the gator for several months.
