Six teens were nabbed allegedly burglarizing a home under construction in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Darien around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, officers responded to a Middlesex Road residence on a report of an active residential burglary/trespassing incident. The 3-11 shift received a report that “six teens” could be seen remotely on video surveillance trespassing or possibly burglarizing a residence that was under construction, Skoumbros said. A Fairfield County woman was charged after police said she drove with a BAC nearly three times the legal limit. Police received two reports of a vehicle driving erratically at about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, according to the Darien Police Department. The second caller told police that the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck an embankment on Middlesex Road near Colony Road in Darien, authorities said. Driver Admits To Drinking, Driving During Stop In Fairfield County
Multiple traffic violations led to the arrest of a 28-year-old driver who admitted to being drunk when he was pulled over by a patrol officer in Fairfield County, police said. An officer from the Darien Police Department reported that shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, a driver was spotted failing to fully stop at a stop sign at the intersection at Middlesex Road and Hoyt Street. A 19-year-old was arrested for alleged driving with an elevated blood-alcohol level after a red MINI Cooper he was driving was found stuck on top of a stone wall, police said. Jack Brown, of Darien, was arrested by Darien Police on Tuesday, June 9. According to Darien PD Sgt. A group of teen trespassers were issued citations after enjoying a midnight jaunt on the grounds of a multi-million dollar home in Darien, police said. Officers responded to a Middlesex Road home early on Saturday, July 27, where there was a report of vandalism and trespassing. The groundskeeper told investigators that for the past two weeks, someone had been accessing a pool on the property and leaving garbage, such as beer cans, all over the grounds. A 22-year-old man returned to the scene of the crime after admitting to drinking, driving, losing control of his car and striking a house in Fairfield County, police said.
