New England Man One Of Four Marines Killed During NATO Drill The US Marines have identified the four killed in a MV-22B Osprey that crashed during a NATO training mission in Arctic Norway on Friday, March 18. Marine From Fairfield County Awarded For Saving Toddler A Fairfield County marine has been recognized for her heroic service saving a toddler following a vehicle crash. Lance Cpl. Alyssa David, a native of Bridgeport, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for heroic service during a ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, on Friday, Jan. 22, according to the Department of Defense.
