New England Man One Of Four Marines Killed During NATO Drill The US Marines have identified the four killed in a MV-22B Osprey that crashed during a NATO training mission in Arctic Norway on Friday, March 18. The four Marines were assigned to “Raging Bulls” of Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 261 based at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, according to an announcement from the Marines on Sunday, March 20. Marine From Fairfield County Awarded For Saving Toddler A Fairfield County marine has been recognized for her heroic service saving a toddler following a vehicle crash. Lance Cpl. Alyssa David, a native of Bridgeport, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for heroic service during a ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, on Friday, Jan. 22, according to the Department of Defense.
