Hit-Run Crash: Pedestrian Injured In New Canaan A pedestrian was injured after allegedly being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County. The incident took place in New Canaan around 10: 50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the intersection of South Avenue and Cherry Street. Arriving officers and New Canaan EMS provided medical care to the pedestrian who sustained a non-life-threatening injury, said Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police.
