Crash Between Boats On Candlewood Lake Injures Person One person was sent to the hospital after two boats collided on Candlewood Lake, which is located in parts of Fairfield and Litchfield counties. The incident took place around 11 a.m., Monday, May 15, said Erin Henry, a spokesperson for the Danbury Police. According to Henry, Danbury 911 received a call about a boating accident in the area of Driftwood Point on Candlewood Lake. Initial reports indicated one of the boats was taking on water, with another attempting to return to Lattins Cove State Boat Launch, Henry said.
