Ex-Worker At Bridgeport DMV Officer Sentenced For Stealing $80K
A former Department of Motor Vehicles worker who pleaded guilty to ripping off the government of close to $80,000 because she was stressed out at work has been sentenced to a year in state prison.
Kimberly Brown, 49, of Bridgeport, who pleaded guilty in July 2018, to larceny and forgery, was sentenced to five years, suspended after she serves one year in prison, followed by five years’ probation.
State police launched an investigation in August 2017, after the Bridgeport office's manager discovered a large monetary discrepancy, state police said.
