For Paula Garcia, there was nothing more important than her family. The Hampshire County, Massachusetts, mother of three lived for her children, her husband Joe Bock said in an interview with the Daily Voice. Paula was killed Tuesday, Jan. 9, while returning to her Easthampton home after the car she was in was hit by a tractor-trailer in Hartford, Connecticut, state police said. More than 2,500 Southwest Airlines flights were canceled and 8,3072 delayed as of Wednesday, Dec. 28, leaving even more passengers across the US stranded and seething. Testing sites for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) are being set up at LaGuardia and JFK airports as New York continues to combat the spread of the virus. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Monday, Aug. 24 that testing sites were being arranged for travelers coming into New York from states with high COVID-19 infection rates. Danbury Off-Duty Chief Helps Save A Person During Flight From Vegas
This story has been updated. A Danbury deputy fire chief helped save the life of a person suffering a medical crisis on a flight from Las Vegas. The incident took place around 5:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, when Deputy Chief Bill Lounsbury was off duty on a flight from Las Vegas when he was altered that medical personnel was needed for a patient having an anaphylactic reaction. A Fairfield County man who fled the country to Russia in an attempt to avoid a burglary charge dating back to an incident in Putnam County in 2014 has been sentenced. A Senegalese national escaped ICE agents who were deporting him at JFK Airport, said authorities who were searching for him.
