Woman Charged With DUI After Leaving Scene Of Crash, New Canaan Police Say An allegedly drunk driver was tracked down by police in Fairfield County after being involved in a motor vehicle crash at a grocery store parking lot before attempting to flee, New Canaan Police investigators said. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of Acme on Elm Street shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, where there was a report of a multi-vehicle crash in the parking lot involving a potentially intoxicated driver who left the scene.
