Intoxicated Derby Driver Punches, Spits On Cop In Bridgeport: Police A 28-year-old New Haven County woman who was driving erratically over the weekend attacked troopers who were trying to help her, Connecticut State Police said. Jessica Reyes, of Derby, was arrested late Saturday, Jan. 25, and charged with operating under the influence, improper parking on a highway, interfering with an officer, and two counts of assault on public safety personnel, authorities said. CT Man Carrying A Crossbow, Beer On Street Nabbed By Police A Connecticut man walking on a city street with a crossbow and a beer was nabbed by patrol officers after receiving numerous 911 calls of a man carrying a rifle.  The incident occurred in New Haven County on Wednesday, June 12, around 5 p.m. on Main Street in Meriden. According to Sgt. Michael Boothroyd of the Meriden Police, the callers said the man was wearing a backpack and a bulletproof vest, had a rifle slung over his shoulder, and was carrying a beer.  The man told people in the parking lot that they should “kill themselves” and that he “was waiting for the police…

Man Nabbed Attempting To Rip Off Tires, Rims From Westport Honda Dealership, Police Say A man wearing a black ski mask, gloves and carrying a backpack was nabbed for allegedly attempting to rip off tires and rims at a Westport car dealership. Robert Mebane, Jr., 28, of Stratford, was arrested around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16, after Westport Police received a call from an alarm monitoring service for Honda of Westport, that a suspicious person could be seen on the surveillance video camera footage of the business, said Westport Police Lt.
