Truck Slams Into Train Overpass In Fairfield County For the second time this summer, a tractor-trailer has hit the top of a railroad overpass in Fairfield County. The latest incident took place around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Greenwich at the Steamboat Road railroad overpass, said Greenwich Police. The truck's roof was torn off but managed to make it out from under the bridge.  The same overpass was hit on June 29 when another truck almost tore its roof off passing under the bridge. Scheduled Route 25 Road Closure Postponed With storms potentially approaching, the scheduled weekend closure of Route 25 in Monroe has been postponed. The Monroe Police Department issued an alert on Friday, noting that the closure has been rescheduled for next weekend. Police said that Route 25 is now scheduled to be closed beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 and should last through 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13. During the closure, businesses in the area will remain open, officials noted.
