Five Hospitalized Investigating Hazmat Situation In CT Home
Several police officers in Connecticut were hospitalized following a hazmat situation at an area home, authorities announced. In Hartford County, police responded to conduct a welfare check in Windsor at approximately 11 a.m. on Plymouth Street. Upon arrival, police said that officers were met by “some type of noxious substance,” which left several with difficulty breathing and painful throats. White Powdery Substance Found In Danbury Courthouse Identified
The white powdery substance that led to the evacuation of a Fairfield County courthouse has been identified. The Danbury Superior Courthouse was evacuated at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 when a suspicious powdery substance was discovered in the lobby of the building, officials said. Fire At Plastic Manufacturing Plant Leads To Power Outages, Road Closures
A burning inferno at a plastic manufacturing facility has closed several roadways in Stratford due to billowing smoke and cut power to area residents and customers.The fire at 10 Research Drive began around 6:30 a.m. Monday, in the 12,504 square foot building, blocking area streets due to heavy smoke and HazMat issues. NYC Bus Terminal Re-Opened After Hour-Long Lockdown
The Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan was reopened following a lockdown Wednesday morning after a suspicious white powder was found. The terminal desk "received a report of an unknown white substance on the floor in the south wing" just after 9 a.m., the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.
