New Haven County resident Kiheem Tyquan Benbow, age 21, of Ansonia, was charged on Friday, April 26, with killing a 17-year-old, Romain Sterling, a Bridgeport resident.
During an investigation into Sterling's murder, Bridgeport Police served a search warrant on Behhow on Wednesday, April 24.

A Connecticut man will spend years behind bars for shooting a 17-year-old boy to death while he talked to his girlfriend.
Kiyon Matheney, age 26, of New Haven, was sentenced on Tuesday, Dec.12, to 33 years in prison for the fatal shooting of John Tubac-Saquil of New Haven in July 2022.
Matheney was found guilty by a jury of manslaughter with a firearm and carrying a firearm without a permit, said John Doyle Jr., State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of New Haven.

A Connecticut man who told his therapist he intended on killing staff members at an area hospital was prevented from purchasing guns.
Hartford County resident Connor Zawasky, age 24, of Windsor, was charged on Tuesday, July 12, and charged with threatening.
The incident began on Wednesday, June 8, when Zawasky told his counselor that he intended on obtaining a pistol permit and buying a gun to kill staff members at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, of the New Windsor Police.

Norwalk police discovered three guns during the takedown of a convicted felon in connection with a drug-dealing investigation.
Tyler Singewald, 24, of Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, March 21, by the Norwalk Police Special Services Division and Emergency Services Unit Tactical Response Team lengthy investigation into local drug dealing, said Norwalk Lt. Terrence Blake.
