Covid-19: Here's What's Open, Closed In CT As Big Drop In Hospitalizations Continues Hospitalizations in Connecticut related to the novel coronavirus  (COVID-19) have dropped once again. Gov. Ned Lamont announced late Saturday afternoon, May 30 that there are now 533 patients are being hospitalized. That's a drop of 44 from a day earlier. For a rundown of what's open and closed in Connecticut, click here. During the pandemic, 42,022 have tested positive, with 260 new cases. There were 44 new fatalities, bringing the statewide total to 3,912. A total of 246,935 tests have been reported to the state, with 5,542 new cases.

The incident took place around 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15 on the New Haven/West Haven line, Metro-North officials said. The train #1513 from New Haven, has been canceled and combined with another line. Commuters are being told to listen for announcements at their station for replacements, connections. Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Near Darien A 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Thursday night near Darien. According to Metro-North officials, the incident took place around 7:35 p.m. Dec. 13 at Noroton Heights. The train had departed Grand Central at 6:49 p.m. headed for New Haven.
