3 Injured After SUV Strikes Van, Rolls Down Embankment On CT Roadway
Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Connecticut. The Hartford County crash happened on Route 2 in East Hartford at about 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, Connecticut State Police said. A 2011 Ford Escape XLT was traveling east near the Exit 5D off-ramp and the driver attempted to overtake a 2019 Ford Econoline E-450 Super by driving on the left shoulder, which narrows, authorities said. Ford Issues Recall For 1.2 Million Vehicles
Ford is recalling more than a million vehicles after announcing three safety recalls that could impact U.S. customers. The largest of the recalls impact Explorer SUV models that were produced from 2011 through 2017 due to a fractured rear toe leak in the suspension. In total, that recall is impacting approximately 1.2 million vehicles. Three Teens Charged In Overnight Van Theft In Darien
Three youths, two of them identified as living in Stamford, were arrested over the weekend in connection with the theft of a van in Darien. On Feb. 11 at about 1 a.m., a police officer observed two males walking northbound on Hollow Tree Ridge Road in close proximity to the Post Road. In recent months, this part of Darien has repeatedly experienced overnight motor vehicle burglaries, according to police.
