A two-alarm fire broke out overnight at a building in Fairfield County. Responders in Stamford raced to the scene after receiving calls of a structure fire at 37 Manhattan St. at around 6:10 p.m. Saturday, April 30, said Captain Philip Hayes of the Stamford Fire Department. Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Norwalk
Firefighters responding to a report of a car fire in Norwalk wound up getting more than they bargained for as an apartment fire displaced one person. The Norwalk Fire Department was advised of a reported pull station alarm with a car fire located at 289 Main Ave. at around 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, Todd M. Lightning Strike Causes House Fire In Stamford
Lightning strikes wreaked havoc overnight, as fire crews responded to multiple calls in less than an hour, including one causing a house fire. The Stamford Fire Department responded to four calls in an hour on Sunday, June 28, as a storm cell containing strong winds, lightning, and heavy rain moved through the region around 5 p.m., resulting in multiple emergency calls.
