CT Woman Assaulted While Jogging By Man Who Escaped Capture, Police Say A 38-year-old Connecticut woman who was jogging early in the morning was assaulted by a man who approached with a gun. The incident occurred in New Haven around 6:15 a.m. in the area of Yale and Edgewood Avenues. According to Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police, the victim was jogging when the unknown man approached her with a firearm and attempted to force her into a nearby wooded area and struck her in the face. Body Found In Ice-Covered CT Pond Firefighters pulled a body from a Connecticut pond after receiving a 911 from a passerby who spotted the man. The incident took place around 8:46 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, when a passerby called 911 to report a body in the ice-covered Duck Pond of Edgewood Park in New Haven. New Haven Fire Department, along with New Haven Police, responded to the water rescue in the area off of Chapel Street between Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Yale Avenue.
